Starting from last June 2009, the factory system of Otefal spa includes the metallurgical activities of foundry, rolling mill, heat treatment and planarity roller of aluminium coils up till now carried out by ALA (Abruzzo Laminazione Alluminio), a company of Otefal group since 2005 and now totally flowed together with Otefal spa. |

The Otefal group takes over the activity of the firm ILA, an Italian company situated in Cagliari. The new borned society is called OTEFAL SAIL SpA, specialized itself in lamination (coils of raw aluminium) and production of prepainted aluminium samples and thin sheets for food packaging and domestic use.
2007: based in the Republic of San Marino, PROJ.EXT srl is set up for the provision of aluminium alloy extrusion plant services, covering the complete chain from planning to the supply, installation, operational launching and final testing of such facilities.
October 2007: Otefal Group buys more than 80% holding in ALUSTEEL Spa, a Lodi-based company involved in the steel panel painting business. The company thus expands the range of products which it has on the market. Alusteel also possesses a production line for the coating of both steel and aluminium products.

A new rolling mill for the production of aluminium strip opens in L’Aquila with the name of ALA, Abruzzo laminazione Alluminio. This company is part of Otefal group. |

The new liquid-powder coating line for the production of new products with unprecedented technological content is unveiled at the Bazzano productive unit (Aq), Italy: solid aluminium sheet provided with liquid PVDF coil-coating to a 3 mm layer that guarantees a longer-lasting duration and a higher quality level to pre-coated products than ever possible before.
This product will help Otefal cover a highly-profitable niche market where few other competitors are present.
